Flight of Tranquility and Peace
A single seagull glides on the ocean air of a deserted beach – tranquil and peaceful.
What could I learn from this “Flight of Tranquility and Peace”?
There are places we can go to find tranquility and peace. A beach in the middle of winter, for instance. A less traveled path in a park or woods. A tucked away bench or tree stump off the beaten path.
I can also choose to turn inward to find peace at times when I might feel like lashing out at the world – or times when I allow the chaos to overwhelm me. I can choose the less popular option of looking within. I’ve learned that when I feel like loosing it during a situation I benefit from going to that spot of tranquility and peace. For me that special place can take many forms – sitting silently in meditation, listening to music, taking the dog for a walk – even a quick walk just around the block, wandering through nature. All give me the opportunity to detach from the hub-bub going on and re-connect with my true tranquil and peaceful self where all is well 🙂
