Burst of Joy Mandala

I’ve made it a point to just create these mandalas without following any strict “rules”.  I don’t sit down and say “today I’m going to create a mandala that symbolizes x,y,z”.

I create the mandala and then I let it tell me what it has to say.  Sometimes I’ll just get a vibe off of it, other times I’ll read up on the symbolism of certain colors or shapes.

This particular one has a lot of yellow in it.  For me, it feels as though it is emanating joy – bursting with joy! 🙂

Then I looked up which chakra is symbolized by yellow – the 3rd chakra – the solar plexus which I believe is below the ribs and above the belly button.

Located in the area of the solar plexus, navel, and the digestive system, the fiery third chakra is called Manipura, the “resplendent gem.” Associated with the color yellow, this chakra is involved in self-esteem, warrior energy, and the power of transformation; it also governs digestion and metabolism. A healthy spirited third chakra helps overcome inertia and jump-starts a “get-up-and-go” attitude so it is easier to take risks, assert one’s will, and assume responsibility for one’s life. This chakra is also the location of deep belly laughter, warmth, ease, and the vitality received from performing selfless service.

Creating mandalas is one of my passions I discovered once I got back to feeling good and THRIVING after life seriously kicked my butt!  The “4-G’s of Feeling Good” helped get me back on track – learn about them here.

Orange Fractal Mandala

In between rain drops today I snapped a pic of this beautiful orange flower.
